Fender Cyber Deluxe Amp Reviews

Aug 06, 2012 CHECK OUT: Jim shows us a Fender Cyber Deluxe Guitar Amp using a Epiphone Special II. The Fender Cyber Deluxe was a 65 watt 1x12 solid state modeling combo amp that came with a four button foot switch to help toggle between the 64 presets, 16 delays. After testing many amps to find the right rock sound, I instantly fell in love with the Fender Cyber Delux at our downtown music shop. This amp is perfect for the. 88 User Reviews for Fender Cyber-Deluxe 112 Combo at Harmony Central.

Probably the Cyber Deluxe. I used a Cyber Twin to try out my Gretsch G6118 Anniversary, before I bought it. While the Rectifier models in the Cyber series sound pretty crappy (I found them to be overly fizzy for my tastes), the other amp models are pretty good (better than the models my Mustang II had IMO). I found the (1998 version) Sunn Model T, amp model in the Cyber Twin I used, to be very good. So much so, that I used it for most of my testing, since by adjusting my Annie's master volume knob, I could go from warm cleans, to serious grind. I currently own a SCXD & Mustang III.

I've played a Cyber Twin that a buddy owns. The SCXD has little better blackface tone. Taking my strat & comparing them side by side the SCXD had a better quality tone then the princeton or deluxe reverb models from the Mustang III. The III has a lot more bass with the bigger cab & 100 watts, but the SCXD's overall blackface tone is just crisper/better. The Mustang III is still a better value though if you need a more gig-able amp & versatility. I took it to band practice yesterday & it sounded terrific. The deluxe reverb model kicks ass & I had variety of good gain tones dialed in using the 57 deluxe, VOX AC 30 with tubescreamer model, Fender supersonic.

This amps is going to be awesome for gigs once I get the 4 button FS that I having coming from a mail in rebate. It truly sounds excellent & I can't imagine anyone in the audience thinking the tones I have dialed in are bad. I can't stand the Cyber Twin. I haven't compared it side by side with the other two amps, but I messed with it for awhile & was never impressed with the basic amp tones.

I had a Trademark 60 with me one day & I plugged into that & got a very good tone no problem. Then switched over to the Cyber Twin & it just sounded lifeless to me. I can't imagine it has anything to do with me dialing it in.

I removed the effects & tried to dial in basic Fender amp tones & it was just blah.
