We are using Motion Computing C5v tablets for our med pass. Recently we ran into an issue with one of them. We could no longer connect new Bluetooth Devices to it. The mouse we had connected previously works through BT but it is unable to see anything new.

Microsoft Office Reinstall

Microsoft Office is one of the more expensive sets of productivity software most people will purchase. The new Office 365 will cost you. You can't install them on your PC or Mac like you can install normal Office apps, and they won't work when you're not connected to the internet. That's not a huge problem,. I called MC and they suggested system restore. So I tried it but I got an error that it could not restore due to corruption on the hard drive, run checkdisk. So I do that and it gives me the usual can't run now it will be scheduled for the next reboot.

Reboot and it never does the check. So I tried running sfc and it reports one corrupt and unrepairable file. So I go through the steps to replace the file using one from another of the tablets. But sfc still says the file is corrupt, diskcheck still will not run and system restore still says it can't restore.

The tablets have no ports and no CD drive. Also if you get it into bootup repair the touchscreen doesn't work so there is no way to interface with it. I am at a loss. TabletKiosk sells a great line of Tablet PCs -- quite comparable to Motion. 12.1' screen, core i7 processor, up to 16GB RAM, pen/touch Win 7 or Win 8.

Yes we also offer docking stations, VESA mounts, carrying cases and expansion modules too. Of course, I am biased because I work for TabletKiosk, but I can positively attest for several deployments (800+ units) where the customers have moved to TabletKiosk and have stayed with our product line for through 2-3 product generations. The joke around here is that these customers have stopped buying extended life warranties because they have had such a low failure rate with our products in the field. Let me know if I can add any insight to this conversation. I'm happy to help and even will help you find another solution if TabletKiosk isn't a good fit for you.

I'm excited that I’m working with the Spiceworks team to get the TabletKiosk vendor page chock full of helpful information. In the meantime, please feel free to visit our company website. French Stunt Drivers on this page.
