Complete Compact Mozart Edition [ ] I see in the text: 'An altered version of The Complete Mozart Edition was released in 2006'. This is false. What you are talking of is the Complete Compact Mozart Edition. I do not know the exact year of release, but it is certainly not 2006, as on the website of Decca, it states 2000 as the year of international release for this edition. This set contains 25 compact discs and represents a condensed version of the 1990–91 or 2000 sets.' This edition is certainly NOT a 'condensed' version of the original set, but a SELECTION. In the context of this excellent and very informative article, I think that it would be a positive addition to create another list of the 25 CDs chosen for the 'Best of the Complete Mozart Edition'.
